*in anticipation of thunder*

A few random thoughts while I’m gearing myself up to do some more work.

It's still too hot in here, and I can feel the thunderstorm getting closer. No doubt it will decide to be at its most brutal just as I'm leaving work, but I did come prepared and bring an umbrella, as well as wearing the only pair of shoes I've got left that are devoid of holes.

Oddly enough, although it’s so warm, I’ve not actually seen the sun at all today, although seeing as I didn’t wake up until 9.30, I may have just missed it. It’s odd how the earlier I have to start work, the later I seem to get up. I’m not sure why, but it just seems to happen that way right now. Which means that Thursday (starting at 10am) will be very interesting – but at least I get to finish at 2 and have until Friday morning to theoretically relax. Which in practice means, that unless I get tempted into socialisation, I’ll probably be either online, writing RP related stuff or most likely both. Not a bad thing though, and it beats work hands down.

And one again, plans for this weekend are wonderfully disorganised, depending as they do on other people, and strange twists of circumstance and co-incidence. I know what I want to do, where I want to be, but I’ll just play things by ear in the vague knowledge that I’ll end up doing whatever fits the confines of reality best. In theory.

And then the weekend after theoretically involves a trip to London – which I better get round to actually planning if it’s going to happen. It’s times like these I feel that a teleportation machine would be a great idea, because while the internet enables transfer of thoughts, there is sometimes the need to actually be in the same room as the people I want to talk to. And while people have been amazing with lifts to all sorts of places, there are just some occasions when I want to be in control of my location/destination to a much greater extent.

That reminds me, there are people in cam who have been great and amazing, and should be claiming lots of MC for various things they do, including driving me places. I’ll have to prod them soon, and make sure they are getting what they can for being brilliant. I’m particularly thinking of Simon Exton and Anthony D’Souza, who have driven me half way round England over the last couple of months, and also the wonderful Krystyna, who has made shadow_writers into something that is most certainly a part of cam, and should probably be rewarded for it, seeing as it does actually take time and effort to moderate these things.

Ok, I’ll shut up now (can’t you tell I’m having a bored-at-work moment?). I really should go and do something constructive now, even if it’s only finding out whether the drinks machine has restocked its supply of coke.

UPDATE: It's now raining. At last. And for once I actually want it to. :-)

We've just had the big thunderstorm and lightning and stuff.

Didnt occur to me that I should probably have come off the net and switched off my machine until afterwards :)

I'm much happier now the weathers broken a bit...

Bizarre. I'm only in Selly Oak myself, and we've had rain for the past hour or so. Typical British weather really. :-)

Rain would be a good thing up until I have to leave work, then it can stop until about 10 minutes after I get home - in an ideal world of course. ;-)

It just seemed like a good idea at the time, and something I enjoy reading...

I'm glad that people have been enjoying it though, and most of the stories are wonderful :)

Re: *Blushes*

You deserve the praise, and yes, it's a wonderful thing - it never ceases to amaze me how many truly creative people we have in cam. :-)
